Hit action, spy-thriller series Homeland is about to reveal something big probably a betrayal. Viewers are excited and cannot keep calm. The series first aired on cable channel Showtime in October 2011.
A Major twist?
Episode 3 of Season 8 may mark a change in the trajectory of the show. Before we get into the details, a quick recap of the second episode may be helpful. The second episode showed Nicholas Brody being treated as a war hero by everyone but Carrie. Carrie did not buy the torture story narrated by him. Furthermore, Carrie also gets in trouble with her superiors as she refused to follow the book. She confronts her idol, Saul.
What is it about?
The third episode is titled “False friends.” The title suggests that the true intentions of some friends of Carrie will be revealed, or there may be a betrayal. The official synopsis of the episode reveals that Carrie will arrange a meeting with someone from Russia with a reputation for being dangerous.
The episode may tell viewers if Carrie can indeed be trusted or not? Or if she was brainwashed in Russia? Saul will do what he always does that is to cut a deal, and Haqqani will face trouble at home. All the questions indicate that viewers may see a major turn in the series.
Basic Premise
Homeland is based on the Israeli series Prisoner of War. Series follows American CIA Agent Carrie Mathison, who has bipolar disorder. Carrie suspects that U.S Marine Corps Scout Sniper Nicholas Brody, a Prisoner of War to be a threat to the United States of America. Brody was held captive by Al-Qaeda for several years, and Carrie thinks that during this time, he was bain-washed and turned against his country.
Cast
The show received universal praise and has won major awards. It stars Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison, Mandy Patinkin as Saul Berenson, Rupert Friend as Peter Quinn, Damian Lewis as Nicholas Brody.
