Several franchises have had to alter their production plans and scripts as per the demand of the current situation. Despite all that Riverdale Season 5 has been confirmed by show-runner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa for an early release in 2021. Here’s all that we need to know about it.

Riverdale Season 5 Announcement & Release Date
The fourth season was cut short due to the pandemic. The story will pick up the prom night arc in the first episode of the upcoming season. The fifth installment of the series was announced by CW in January 2020 and is set to premiere on 20 January 2021.
The Storyline
The ending of previous episodes shook things up as far as the dynamics between the four protagonists are concerned. The same tension will be focussed on in the upcoming episodes. Lili Reinhart, who plays the role of Betty on the show also suggested a time-leap in the future episodes of the series.

The new season will finally help us get an insight into the lives of these characters after their graduation as adults. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has even hinted at some “heavy” advancements in Toni’s story. Basically, a lot of things are on the plate and the crew and the cast members are waiting to serve it all to us in January 2021.
