Sara Gilbert and her musician wife have chosen to go on separate ways after being together for five and a half years approximately. The Roseanne star filed for divorce legally in the court of Los Angeles to get an annulment from her wife Linda Perry, the former frontwoman of the ’90s rock band 4 Non-Blondes.
Gilbert has reasoned irreconcilable differences as the reason for the request of their divorce and has exclusively mentioned that the spousal support is not required from the court for herself and Perry. The couple had announced their engagement in April 2013 and tied the knot on March 30, 2014, with a rock-concert themed ceremony. The couple has a son together: Rhodes Emilio Gilbert Perry, who was born on February 28, 2015.
Sara, who had started and co-hosted the daytime show The Talk for nine years, had publicly announced that she was going to quit the show in April in order to spend more time with her family and stressed about not getting enough time to spend with her children; son Levi, 15, and daughter Sawyer, 12 and son Rhodes when the shows ‘Roseanne’ spin-off and ‘The Conners’ was on its highest success rate.
Perry is best known as the lead singer and songwriter of the ’90s rock band, 4 Non-Blondes, and also majorly contributing for hits like Beautiful by Christina Aguilera, What Are You Waiting For? By Gwen Stefani, Get The Party Started by P!nk. Perry was also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2015.
