Spinning Out was introduced in January 2020 and the show received mostly positive reactions. Just when things were beginning to look up, it was high time for a Spinning Out Season 2. However, Netflix negated the series just after a month of its release, and here’s everything you need to know.
What is Spinning Out Season 2 About?
Spinning Out revolves around a figure skater, Kat, who works obsessively towards her dream of performing at the Olympics. However, her confidence and self-esteem are badly shaken due to a fall that leads to serious injuries. Moreover, she struggles financially, has conflicts with her mother, and suffers from bipolar disorder as well.
Spinning Out Season 2 Release Date
Unfortunately, Netflix officially canceled Spinning Out in February 2020, barely a month after the show was released. Fans expressed their dissatisfaction over this decision and even created a social media petition to save the show. However, Netflix has never given in to such petitions before, so the revival of the show seems unlikely.
Will there ever be Season 2?
The chances of Spinning Out being revived by Netflix are very, very slim. So, fans will have to put up with cliff-hanger season 1. The show received positive reviews with many appreciating the stark portrayal of mental health.
The Cast and Plot
If by any miracle, Spinning Out Season 2 happens, we can expect most of the major characters to retain their roles. Kaya Scodelario and Evan Roderick will be back as Kat and Justin.
Meanwhile, the plot might be concentrated on the blooming relationship between Kat and Justin and also their performance. We will finally see if they made it to the nationals. Dr. Parker was revealed to be a predator and Carol had hit him with a bat. In the sequel, she might have to face a jail term. The show can also potentially explore mental health issues further.
Here is the trailer for the first season of Spinning Out.
