Acclaimed director Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw’s adopted daughter Mikaela Spielberg informed them about her extra-ordinary choice. 23-year-old Mikaela Spielberg has said that she wants to make a career as a sex-worker.

The news came from her official Instagram account which said
“I just launched my self-produced adult entertainment career. Safe, sane, consensual is the goal y’all. I owe not a single person my autonomy or virtue just because of a name.”
Speilberg and her wife are supporting her decision, but a close friend of the family has revealed that they do have complicated feelings about their daughter’s choice.

A close friend of Spielberg and Kate gave a statement which said:
“[Steven and Kate] are friends with many artistic people, and those people are complicated, and some have complicated kids. Everybody gets it. Some kids, no matter what advantages — or even because of them — are just lost,” said the family friend.
“Maybe Mikaela felt unworthy of her folks, of her name, that she could never live up to it. It’s hard to be the product of parents who are so successful.”
