The OA Season 3 was expected and awaited by its fans. But despite the efforts of The OA’s fans, Netflix has negated the series.
What is The OA Season 3 about?
The OA was produced by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij. The show was premiered in 2016 on Netflix. The OA is centered around a woman, Prairie Johnson, who miraculously reappears after she went missing seven years ago.
Prairie now has some scars and calls herself “The Original Angel.” What’s more, Prairie, who was blind, has regained her sight completely. The OA then takes up the task to save others who have gone missing. She tries to open a door to a different dimension in which four high school students and a teacher assist her.
The Cast
The OA sported a strong cast and some fabulous acting. Brit Marling plays Prairie Johnson (the protagonist). While the other major roles are –
- Homer Roberts played by Emory Cohen
- Abel Johnson is portrayed by Scott Wilson
- Phyllis Smith can be seen in the role of Betty
- Nancy Johnson is played by Alice Krige
- And Patrick Gibson can be seen as Steve Winchell
The show also stars Jason Isaacs from Harry Potter.
Recap of Season 2
Season 2 was released in 2019 on Netflix and since then, fans have been expecting The OA season 3. The story was never completed and there are a lot of cliffhangers and a few questions that were left unanswered.
What’s the Future?
Unfortunately, the cliff-hangers will never be resolved because The OA Season 3 has been canceled by Netflix. Fans tried their best to get the show renewed but all in vain. Even the creators had plans for 5 seasons but Netflix negated the series nonetheless. Jason Isaac and Brit Marling have confirmed that there would be no The OA Season 3.
