Who would have thought we would grace with another Top Gun movie more than thirty years after the first Top Gun movie made its way to cinemas? It is not that surprising given the proliferation of remakes and overdue sequels we’ve seen in the last few years.

Top Gun 2 trailer: when are we going to see it?
The trailer released on July 18 at Comic-Con International. Maverick also definitely needs power.
After finally releasing the film, viewers were able to find comparisons between it and the Star Wars movie: Force Awakens, noting different images that seemed almost close to the teaser of Episode VII. The second trailer arrived as an early holiday surprise for Top Gun viewers on December 16.
The current Top Gun 2 release date: When is it out?
The studio originally gave Top Gun:
Maverick a July 12, 2019 release date for the USA. This would have brought the sequel 33 years into the cinemas after the first movie opened stateside.
Nevertheless, the film was postponed by a full year later. It’ll be debuting in cinemas on 17 June 2020. The wait was an effort to give producers time to adjust the mechanics of using new technology and planes to create flight sequences.
Top Gun Production: Maverick began production in May 2018. Through posting on Twitter, Cruise confirmed their shooting. Maverick has hardly aged in over 30 years, based on the photos released from filming.
Top Gun 2 cast: Who returns?
It’s been more than 30 years since the US Navy Fighter Weapons School in Miramar squared off as the best of the best, vying for the crown of ‘ Top Gun. ‘ But competitors Maverick (Cruise) and Iceman (Val Kilmer) will undoubtedly see Top Gun 2 reunite.
As one point, Kilmer appeared to confirm that the previously retired Gene Hackman would play a part in the sequel.
