About Top Gun 2
Top Gun 2 also known as ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ is a Hollywood action film. The movie is directed by Joseph Kosinski. The story is given by Peter Craig and Justin Marks. The Production is done by Skydance Media, Jerry Bruckheimer Films and Paramount Pictures as well. Top Gun 2 is a sequel to 1986’s Top Gun. Top Gun franchise is receiving a sequel after a long wait of almost 34 years.
The Plot
The story will continue from the first Top Gun film. Tom Cruise aka Maverick will return. He has gain knowledge and experience over time. Maverick will train some new graduates. He will design training exercises and prepare them for a special mission. The sequel will be based on the relationship between Maverick and Rooster. Maverick will also explore the past. There will be some character developments as well. The sequel will also reflect on the rivalry/ friendship between Iceman and Maverick.
The Official Release Date of Top Gun 2
Top Gun 2 was original planned to be released on July 2019. The movie has been delayed several times. Due to COVID-19 situation, Top Gun Maverick observed further delays in its release. Finally, Paramount Pictures made an official announcement. If everything goes as per plan, Top Gun 2 will release on July 2, 2021.
