Cobra kai is an American action comedy-drama YouTube series based on events of The karate kid. It is created by Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald and broadcasted on YouTube Premium. Its first season was released on May 2, 2018, second season was released on April 24, 2019, starring Ralph Macchio and William Zabka as the lead in the series.
The cast of the series is Ralph Macchio as Daniel LaRusso, William Zabka as Johnny Lawrence, Xolo Maridueña as Miguel Diaz, Courtney Henggeler as Amanda LaRusso, Tanner Buchanan as Robby Keene, Mary Mouser as Samantha LaRusso, Jacob Bertrand as Eli Moskowitz/Hawk(recurring season 1, main season 2), Gianni Decenzo as Demetri (recurring season 1, main season 2), Martin Kove as John Kreese (guest season 1, main season 2).
The first two seasons had 10 episodes each. Cobra Kai was the best-reviewed TV drama of 2018 on rotten tomatoes, and also it had 88% approval ratings on rotten tomatoes for the second season. Most of the shooting of the series is done in the major areas of Atlanta.
Season two ended with Daniel and Johnny both realizing their epic failures as senseis, Daniel’s wife Amanda deciding that “no more karate” in their lives. That depicts, Kreese betrayed Johnny and changed the course of the Cobra Kai dojo.

The news of the renewal of season three is officially out, so we can expect its release by the spring of 2020. Also, the co-creator of the series said in an interview that they have begun writing the content of season three.
