Everything We Know so far about “Winds of Winter”. Expected Release Date and Why it Delayed??

Game of Thrones was one of the most-watched and popular Television series worldwide. Viewers became really disappointed after the show ended on a dissatisfying note. Bran Stark became King of Westeros, John Snow was exiled and sent back to the wall for killing the one he loved, and Daenerys Targaryen turned out to be a psychopath with a god complex and destroyed almost all of King’s landing.

I think it’s safe to say that the ending was not loved by all the GOT fans. Moreover, it was not the ending that George R.R Martin had written in the series of “A Song Of Ice And Fire.” Previously he had hinted that his book had an alternate ending to the series, which was completely different than HBO original series.

Martin said that he did not know the ending that HBO decided to give to the series. Additionally, he expressed his disappointment by saying that HBO was not “completely faithfully” to his version of the series. Adding on to that he said ” People know an ending- but not the ending. The makes of the TV show had overtaken me, which I didn’t expect,” in an interview with Die Welt newspaper.

Disappointed struck the hearts of fans again, after hearing the delay of ” The Winds of Winter”. The Winds of Winter was supposed to be released in November 2018 but got delayed as Martin started working on “Fire and Blood.” Fire and Blood is a flashback in the past which explains the House of Targaryen, and is now in shooting for Game Of Thrones’s spinoff “House of Dragon”. But currently, Winds of Winter got delayed for reasons unknown.

At least one thing is sure, Winds of Winter’s ending is definitely going to be different than the ending of Game of Thrones. It is completely possible that Bran Stark will not be the king. So who will be the new ruler of Westeros? No one knows, and I guess we’ll have to wait for the release of the book to find out.
