Updated on 27 Oct 2021: Will A silent voice season 2 be renewed in 2022? It’s basically the most frequently asked question by the fans of this series. The manga series was first released in 2016 in Japan and that time it got huge love from the audience and after getting such a positive response, the series was released throughout the world in 2017. But after that, it’s not really come at all. But the fans are waiting for it.
Some sources claim that in 2022 the series may get a renewal. Though we have to say that till now there is no confirmation regarding this update. Probably the series is now canceled, and it never comes again. Though we have to look at the officials to get information regarding this.
2016 brought us one of the most poignant anime movies ever! Slice of life and Coming of Age movies are always heart-touching concepts, and so was the anime film based on the manga created by Yoshitoki Oima. A Silent Voice 2 Announcement & Release Date
As has been observed by the manga readers of the series, the anime catches up to all the volumes of the source material. Therefore, it means that there is no material left for further adaptations. In such cases, production houses choose to either drop the project name as it was left on the happy note or they can go ahead and release an original story, separate from the manga volumes. However, hardcore readers have always been against this move because of their unfathomable attachment with the reading material. They don’t wish to associate with non-canon sequels since it can hamper the good memory of the pre-existing content.

As of now, there has been no announcement regarding a possible sequel in the works. It seems unlikely that the studio house will proceed with the plans either.

The Storyline
The story revolves around Shoko Nishimiya, who has to lead her life with impaired hearing but things get worse when she is bullied for it at school. Thereafter, she chooses to transfer from there. After a few years though, one of her former bullies takes a step forth to atone for his actions in the past.
