After the acquisition of 20th Century Fox (on 20th March 2019), Deadpool and the X-Men, all went under the Disney Studios. Because of this, a debate has erupted on social media. We can’t say for sure if Deadpool 3 will be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
But we know for sure that graphic violence and bad language dong go hand in hand with the Disney Studio image. Disney is known for its family-friendly movies, and Deadpool certainly doesn’t fit into the narrative.
Deadpool 3: Release Date
“We’re working on it right now with the whole team. We’re over at Marvel [Studios] now, which is like the big leagues all of a sudden. It’s kinda crazy,” confirmed Ryan Reynolds in December 2019. Obviously, a lot has changed since then when it comes to making movies.
Deadpool 3 wasn’t part of Marvel’s Phase 4 post-Endgame announcement, which concerned fans. But fans were reassured by Paul Wernick that Deadpool 3 is on the way.
“Marvel has promised to continue to let us play in the R-rated Deadpool universe, and the hope is that they will also let us veer into the MCU a little bit as well and play in that sandbox,” explained Wernick.
As of now, we don’t know when Deadpool 3 will be released. But fans could expect a few camos here and there in MCU films.
The Storyline
The future of Wade Wilson is doubtful. Ryan teased in an interview that the third installment is “looking to go in a completely different direction”, teasingly adding: “Often, they reboot or change a character maybe like four movies too late.”
The storyline initially ( Before the Merger) was going to be about a mythical X-Force. But now, things might change and we could expect a completely new story.

The storyline could be all about Time Travel as teased in the Post credits scene of Deadpool 2. Also, we could witness the return of Vanessa, as Wade time-traveled to save her.
Rob Liefeld no more in Deadpool 3!
Recently, Deadpool co-creator and comic book legend Robert Liefeld provided us with an update of Deadpool 3. A leaked production grid circulating online doesn’t include his name anywhere.
On May 12, Rob posted a rather troubling update on his Twitter regarding Deadpool 3. It looks like he hasn’t yet been contacted for Deadpool 3.
