Gotham is an American crime-drama TV series where the characters are primarily based on DC’s Batman franchise. Especially on the characters of James Gordon and Bruce Wayne. It gives us a stylized backstory for Batman. It includes many of his foes, including the younger version of Joker. Gotham Season 6 is sure to make some buzz!!!
The TV series aired on Fox Network premiering from September 22, 2014, and ended on April 25, 2019. The first five seasons can be viewed on Netflix. The popular TV series enjoys a massive fandom. Therefore, fans surely want a season 6.

The fifth season of Gotham is averaging a 0.63 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.26 million viewership. Compared to season four, that’s down by 18%. Season 5 initially got a high viewership but then things went bad. This might also be because the series was available on Netflix. And many viewers would like to watch it online rather than on the TV.
Season 5 had 12 episodes instead of the 22 episodes. As a matter of fact, Producers had at first planned for even fewer episodes. The simple fact that they didn’t drag the story to 22 episodes, points out that they wanted to end it. The show wasn’t left in an enigma and had a justifiable ending, with Bruce Wayne becoming the Batman.
Therefore there will be no season 6. But it might be that, sometime later, producers decide to make a sequel or a spin-off to the series. Even Gotham actor Donal Logue mentioned to the media a while ago that the revival might be possible at some point in time. But there is no official announcement as such. The fans will have to wait a bit longer to see it.
