Live, Die, Repeat, and Repeat may come to a theatre near you.

Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt starring Edge of Tomorrow performed well at Box Office. The movie was well-received from both the critics and the audience. A sequel of the hit film was announced in 2016 titled Live, Die, Repeat and Repeat.

However, the announced sequel never reached the filming stage as all the major actors of the movie were involved in other projects. Rumors have surfaced again that shooting for the sequel will start soon, but nothing is official.

Background

Edge of Tomorrow is a science-fiction film which and involved time travel. The movie is based on Japenese light novel, All you Need is kill. The basic premise of the film is that Europe is attacked by an intelligent technically superior alien race, which very quickly conquers Continental Europe.

Major Willian Cage, a public relations officer, played by Tom Cruise, is sent to the battlefield where he absorbs the blood of an alien due to which he is stuck in a time loop. Cage meets Sergeant Rita Vrataski, played by Emily Blunt, who had the same experience. Two join hands to kill the invaders and save Earth.

What is the Plot?

At the end of the first movie, Cage kills and, in the process, absorbs the blood of Omega, who was the leader of invading alien forces. All alien activity is stopped, but on the downside, Sergeant Rita Vrataski has lost her memory and meets Cage for the first time.

Director Doug Liman has confirmed that sequel will be a shorter movie, and he intends to do something in the sequel, which is usually not expected from a sequel.

The movie also has a new writer who impressed the Production House with the script. Moreover, the Director has said that a new character will be introduced who will definitely steal the show

What do we know?

Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt are most likely to reprise their roles. Keeping in mind that Cruise is shooting for Mission Impossible 7 and 8 back to back, there might be plenty of time before the shooting of the movie hits the floor.
