It seems like Korean dramas are addicted to the genre of Romance. Most shows tend to have a love story as a part of their plot, but this approach becomes a bit underwhelming for the audience that wants to see something new. I’m Not a Robot Season 2 is one such show that turns it all around despite having Romance as its building block.
It isn’t one of those typical “feel good” shows. However, the show is a bit of an underrated piece of work. It isn’t as famous as its contemporary counterparts, which isn’t justified at all. We have some news regarding I’m Not a Robot Season 2 for all those people who’ve joined this watch party, as for others, we suggest you watch this one-of-a-kind show because you’re missing out on a great deal.
How do I’m Not a Robot Season 2 stand out?
The South Korean drama series I’m Not a Robot Season 2 written by Kim Sun-mi and directed by Jung Dae-Yoon that came out in 2017 portrays human emotions with a poetic touch. Our emotions are the basis of humanity and the relationships so built as its outcome. I’m Not a Robot introduces us to a chaebol who’s had to live his life like the Disney princess Rapunzel, i.e. aloof from human contact due to his unforgiving allergy. As a result, he can’t help but pine for it. The show makes us feel for him while reminding us of the importance of the relationships shared with our loved ones.

Announcement & Release Date
I’m Not a Robot Season 2 hasn’t been slated for a Season 2 release. The first season concluded all the arcs and happily led the characters to a satisfactory ending. Due to this reason, a second season seems unnecessary and unlikely. It has especially become a troublesome task to begin production during the pandemic anyway. With the year also nearing its end, we don’t think we’ll get news regarding the renewal of the show in the upcoming months, and that too if it is to happen. For now, we don’t have any official statement for I’m Not a Robot Season 2. If any subsequent changes arise, then we’ll let you know instantly.

The Storyline
Kim Min-kyu, the affluent director of a financial firm suffering from allergic reactions whenever he comes in contact with a human being is compelled to live afar from everyone. The solitary confinement thus induced leaves him feeling lonely and desperate for human interactions. To comfort himself, he purchases a humanoid robot to fill this void.
However, the robot malfunctions before its delivery, and therefore its designer Hong Baek-gyun asks his ex-girlfriend Chae Soo-bin to present herself as the robot Aji 3 since the robot is her lookalike. Things take a wild turn when both of them start falling for each other. The initial season of the show had 32 episodes, with 2 episodes airing per week on MBC. Netflix further condensed them into 16 episodes with a run time of 62 minutes each. Is I’m Not a Robot Season 2 coming soon?
