Mindhunter Season 2 Review: Was it Able to Live up to the Success of Season 1

Created by Joe Penhall, this Netflix original crime series Mindhunter season 2 (having 9 brand new episodes) will premiere in Netflix on 16 August 2019 A sneak peek! The main attraction of this season is the new faces on board, which include the famous Damon Herriman in a crucial role. The season will show the crimes related to serial killer Son of Sam, and major focus will be on the Atlanta Child Murders. The trailer has already been launched, and it is in one word, ‘nerve-wracking.’

The 1-minute trailer itself makes sure that the audience is glued to the screens till the end. The first season was a big hit, and it took two years for the makers to come up with season 2. The bone-chilling trailer has featured the actors, namely Jonathan Groff as Holden Ford, Holt Mcgallany as Bill Trench, Anna Torv, as Wendy Carr. What it has in store for you? The director had mentioned in an interview that the first season had been set in 1977 when crimes and criminal psychology had been a very rare issue and not completely understood, but the 2nd season takes a leap of a couple of years when these factors have become crucial. Hence, expect brutality.

The Atlanta child murders will be in the backdrop of the late ’70s or at maximum early ’80s. Spoiler alert for those who haven’t seen the promo yet! The promo starts with Son of Sam, the serial killer (David Berkowitz), and it also shows the thrilling return of the BTK killer. Apart from that, the family issues of Trench would be seen to continue. You might get to see Wendy’s love interest this season.
