About The Bold Type Season 5
The show follows the life of three women Kat, Jane and Sutton who live in New York City and they work for a global magazine, Scarlet. The series focuses on how these women navigate their lives in the big city, including their love life and career. The Bold Type Season 5 is All about Boldness.
The series first aired in 2017 with 10 episodes and drew quite an audience for a fierce feminist portrayal of women’s experience in the media industry.
The Official Announcement
The Bold Type Season 5 of the show had a premature close making fans wonder if there will be a fifth season. The makers of The Bold Type might make a formal announcement about the new installment of the series.
Recap of Season 4
- The one storyline that really angered fans was the relationship between its bisexual, biracial protagonist Kat with a white Republican woman. Kat also launches her new podcast and receives backlash for calling Eva who is a prominent conservative as her first guest.
- Sutton and Richard call off their wedding as Richard wants kids and Sutton doesn’t.
- Scott admits that he has feelings for Jane but Jane decides to turn him down even though she feels the same about him.

Renewal Status
The Bold Type has not been renewed for a fifth season as of yet. Even though Freeform hasn’t cancelled the series, an official renewal hasn’t been announced. It is most likely that the series may never return but the production team of the show is positive on the future of The Bold Type.
Season 4 received a lot of backlash from fans who were angered at the writing and the deviation from the character development in the show.

The Bold Type Season 5 has not yet been officially declared for a renewal and thus no release date has been announced.
