The first trailer of Wonder Woman 1984 dropped this Sunday, and it already looks good. This article will brief you about all that you need to know about this movie. The movie will hit the screens on 5th June 2020.

Plot and Cast:

Unfortunately, Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill won’t return. They have left their roles as Batman and Superman, respectively.

Wonder Woman 1984 will be the second DC superhero movie to drop next year, following Birds of Prey: The Emancipation of Harley Quinn, a spinoff of Suicide Squad.

The sequel will see Wonder Woman’s love interest return to her. The story is hence set in the 1980s. The movie gives the essence of a fun, nostalgic romp through the 1980s, though one loaded with warnings about the consumerism and greed that dominated the era.

The reason behind the title :

The movie is indeed set in 1984 and thus the name. That is a huge leap from the original movie, The Wonder Woman, which was set during World War I. Guess what? Our Diana Hasn’t aged at all!

Steve Trevor is back!

Yes, yes, we know Steve sacrificed himself to save the world.  We never actually see Steve’s body, but Wonder Woman mourns his death. He returns in 1984, though! Technically he should be old. But why should only women get to stay young? Hence, a young Trevor is back!

Patty Jenkins, who directed the first Wonder Woman movie, is returning for the sequel. Jenkins was the first woman to direct a major American superhero film.
