The story of this show is shown in two parallel storylines. One is in the Joseon era and focuses on the lives of Kim Dam-Ryung and Se-Hwa, a mermaid. The other storyline focuses on Joon Jae and Shim Chung who are the reincarnations of the other two. The show feels like it’s based on a fairytale. Essentially, a mermaid falls for a con-man and the story is showcased in parallel universes. Viewers get to see the portrayal of love, fate and rebirth.
There is nothing concrete about the second season. However, when it does come out, it would continue from where the first season left off. Also, it would answer all the questions that the first season left in the minds of the viewers.

When it was released, the show aired on SBS every Wednesday and Thursday. And now, the first and only season of the show is available on Netflix. It was also available on Hulu but that is no longer the case. When the second season comes out it will follow the same trend of airing on SBS. Also, it will later be available on online platforms for international viewers.

There is currently no official release date for Legend Of The Blue Season 2. As mentioned before, the show’s finale aired on January 25, 2017. The show has a very wide viewership spanning the entire world and is very popular. Even though it’s liked so much, there isn’t word from the creators about when a second season will come out.
