The Plot
This story of The King Eternal Monarch follows Lee Gon, the modern-day emperor of the kingdom of Corea who survived the coup that killed his father some 25 years ago. He is still haunted by that day’s events and the police badge he seized from the person who saved him after he was stabbed, and the mysterious fact that the badge was issued in 2019.
One day the king chased after a person dressed as a rabbit and follows it to the forest which leads him to cross over a magical barrier and into a parallel universe. Where instead of his kingdom Corea, the Republic of Korea exists, this is where he finally meets detective Jeong Tae eul. She works in the violent crime divisions at the Seoul Jongo police station.
They team up to close the barrier between their two worlds. Lee Lim, Lee Gon’s half-uncle who planned the coup and assassinated his father, is assembling his army while in hiding and also traveling to and fro between the parallel worlds.

This Cast of The King Eternal Monarch Season 2 includes Lee Min-ho as Lee Gon, Kim Go-Eun as Jeong Tae-eul, Woo Do-hwan as Jo Yeong, Kim Kyung-Nam as Kang Shi-Jae among others.
